Il Gelso Antico

A wonderful private villa immersed in the umbrian countryside for unforgettable holidays. On the villa, you can relax, reading a book in the garden or taking a refreshing dip in the pool. In the winter months, there is nothing more relaxing than sipping a glass of wine in the warmth of the fireplace.

This ancient villa, recently restructured, rises on a hill of the Upper Tiber Valley and, immersed in the green of large garden and woods, offer a fantastic view of the Valley.The Villa Il Gelso Antico,  thanks to the ideal position, can be the right place for a relaxation or a cultural holiday. In fact, the most important town famous for history and culture, as Assisi, Cortona, Spello, Gubbio and Perugia are not so far from the Villa. The Villa has a maximum of 10 sleeps.  On the gorund floor, a double bedroom with bathroom (possibility to add a single bed or a coat). On the first floor, a large living room with a wonderful log fire and the fully fitted kitchen with large table seating up to 10, fridge, freezer and cooker. On the second floor the bathrooms and the other bedrooms: a double or twin bedroom, a double bedroom with the possibility to add the third bed and/or the cradle. On request, double sofa bed on the living room. Iron and laundry are available in a private room of the house on the ground floor of the Villa. Pets are friendly welcomed.

Outside
The villa Il Gelso Antico has a very large garden with barbecue and dining area, deck chairs, cushions, umbrellas, chairs and tablesfor delightful dinner “al fresco”, immersed in unforgettable sunset.Private swimming pool (7x14m).

Travel
Perugia with Ryanair is the nearest airport (30 mins driving). The property is two hours distance from Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino, Pisa, Forlì(Ryanair). All the major car hire firms are represented at the airports and it is essential to have a car. Directions will be supplied when you rent the villa.

Distances
In this area there are many places of great interest: Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Spello, Montefalco, Todi, Orvieto, Cortona, Arezzo.

Further details
The nearest village is 10 mins distance by car - it has supermarket, bar, restaurants, pizzerias, chemist's shop, cinema, theatre, post office, baker, butchers, internet cafe, clothes and toy shops.
